Some people say that braided rugs are actually invention of American colonists who traded scrap of wool which they braided in to long strip and then waved those strips together. On this way they produced braided rug for the first time.

Braided rugs are available in market in wide range of prices from 50 dollars to several hundreds dollars. The expensive braided rugs are purely made of wool by legendary manufacturer like Capel and Boston. Usually braided rugs are considered less expensive.
