The name Congoleum was settled from the raw materials used, which came from the Belgian Congo in Africa. After that company started experiments for the manufacturing of quality flooring product called vinyl. After long research and experiments in the late 1950s Congoleum introduced its incredible product, the 12 feet wide vinyl sheet for flooring.
